COMPANY DESCRIPTION

SSBM ENTERPRISES was established in April 2017. WEEK4:

TASKS HANDLED WELL

Throughout the entire time in the internship i felt like there were two tasks handled extremely well by me, them being:

  1. Presentation: This is because as I am a student of the diploma programme it is necessary for me to have the presenting skill and be able to create a professional presentation with good content. It was a great chance for me to showcase my communication skills and the assurance I had on my research. Overall this task was done well. The presentation looked professional, had pictures and enough content to show the product and uses of the same.
  2. Research: This is because over the last 5 years research has been a crucial part of my life as most of the assignments and tasks I would get involved in a lot of research and sometimes detailed ones. Hence researching about the athletes, exercises with the material given to us was easy. Plus I have always loved sports so this was a great opportunity for me to get to know more about the same.



CHALLENGES FACED

I think the biggest and most important challenge I faced was getting used to such a working environment, matching deadlines and based on the tasks of the sales phone call one.


The environment and mindset needed to work for such tasks were very different from the ones needed during school so getting used to it took me a while and hence caused a delay in my submissions and to a certain extent the quality of the same. I would go on writing ignoring the word count but wouldn't realise that i was being repetitive hence getting used to it was a challenge.


Lastly based on the tasks, the sales phone call one was the hardest as sometimes people were very harsh and would just cut the call without giving us a chance to give the reason for the particular call. I have never faced anything like that or never made calls to sell a product so even though it was hard to communicate with the buyers I started getting a hang of it and made one successful sale and that made me feel really good.



SKILLS DEVELOPED

Throughout this process a lot of communication was needed whether it be communicating with the teachers, buyers, workers, or the owner, talking to all in a different manner really helped me work on my skills. Making the sales phone calls or presenting the presentation gave me a lot of room to improve and made me more confident with the communication skill. The presentation had to be given i n front of the entire board of ssbm so I had to make sure I was presenting it the right way and looked respectful doing so . Even though i have practice and prior experience it was a little challenging but yet i managed to do well in the presentation and developed my presentation skills/
