MAX FIELD - Music Festival

It is with pleasure and pride that i strongly recommend Kyra Sabharwal for admission to your undergraduate program. As Director of Camp Max I’ve been her direct supervisor during her internship here with us and have come away very impressed with her skills and processes.
During the month of July and August ‘21, Kyra worked at our campsite at Khopoli where we run a camping resort. She worked with a team that focused on getting the resort back up and running against the backdrop of coming out of a second COVID wave here in India. I found her to be committed, inquisitive and highly invested in details and solutions. We already miss her positive energy and never say die attitude.
Most impressively, during her time with us, Kyra spearheaded initiatives to create and reinvent activities that would be COVID safe. Activities that would create confidence in people to come out and use the campsite and provide a safe environment as well. Upscaling many board games to larger than life was one creative solution she actioned. Life size chess, for example, came out of this process, and was one of our biggest successes. Played outdoors with safe social distance, people loved it. She also created a beach volleyball setup that fulfilled the same criteria.
Her specific tasks included coordinating with government and private agencies and forming an action plan in compliance. It was a complex task requiring patience, an eye for detail, and a skill for processing complex information, and she excelled at it. Sourcing materials and installing games areas in a time when we were in the middle of a crippling lockdown was a very challenging effort, one that she accomplished admirably. She also engaged directly with guests to make them comfortable and guide them in a difficult time. She showed great commitment and cheer, and accomplished all this in a very difficult time, in a very short time frame.
Kyra is hard working, talented, positive and cheerful at all times, committed to her work and focused on seeing her tasks getting completed. Very social and a team player, I see her thriving in college and wish her all the success in life.
